For The Best Skin, Follow These Tips

Your skin is responsible for so many functions, many of which you wouldn’t even consider. It helps control temperature, get rid of toxins and protect organs among many other things. It is so important to have good skin care so that it maintains its functioning well, but also so that it looks its best. Below are the five best skincare tips that will give you the best chance of achieving the complexion you desire.

1.) Protect your skin from the sun. Nothing else ages the skin and causes blemishes like the sun, so you need to shelter it from the damaging rays. Do not spend long hours exposed to the sun and avoid it when it is most powerful, between the hours of 11am-1pm. Always wear sunscreen, even if you are not going out in the sun as it is very moisturising and will protect against the constant low level U.V rays that silently damage over time.

2.) Don’t let your skin dry out. Your skin, like every other part of your body needs moisture to work properly so make sure it is always moisturised and supple. This is not to say you should apply moisturiser all over the body all the time as this can suffocate the skin, but instead treat it when it is dry with qaulity skin and hand care products. After swimming, showering and being in the cold for a long time are common occasions when you need to top up your skin’s moisture.

3.) Don’t smoke. Cigarette smoke contains so many poisons and toxins that are completely counterproductive to its functioning. They close up blood supply, dehydrate the skin, mutate cells and block pores. You only have no study the skin of a smoker to know this is a very important tip to listen to.

4.) Don’t allow stress to get you. This may be hard to put into practice but its an important element that most people don’t consider. We all know that teenagers classically suffer from outbreaks and this is down to higher hormone levels during puberty causing excessive oil production. Something very simular takes place when you have higher stress levels and this can be avoided by taking a little time out each day to relax.

5.) Keep make-up levels down. High quality or lighter make-ups are not as bad but when you added layers of make-up or using thick make-ups the skin looses the ability to breathe and pores become inflamed. Ensure that all make-up is removed before you sleep also. This is because the skin does a great deal of self-cleaning over night and this process cannot take place effectively if it is covered in a thick layer of foundation.

To have your skin not only feeling but looking much better, just follow these key tips.
